Ravi Bishnoi and Harpreet Brar spinners of Punjab shocked the star-studed team of Banglore by 34 runs in yesterday’s epic Ranji match. Banglore were fighting for the total score of 180 made by Punjab in the first inning and 91 runs created by their star skipper(captian) K.L. Rahul—Banglore ended up with 145/8 in 20 years which lead them to a loss of 2 points in the league table.
Punjab had won their third match of their seven matches which led them to stand on positon 4 along with Mumbai, who however are ahead on the run rate.
Star skipper Kohli was batting at 31 of 29 balls with a total of 62/1 after 10 overs RCB were definitely behind because they still needed 118 runs in 10 overs, But the 11th over totally changed the game in favour of Punjab.
Left-arm-Spin baller Brar bowled Virat keeping the ball low and Next Ball, Glenn Maxwell gets bowled also and gets trapped in Brar’s trap, and in his next over he had taken the wicket of AB Divilliers.Brar took 3 wickets in his 7 balls and destroyed the half star batting line up of RCB which left the RCB innings to 69/4 in 12.1 overs.
Bishnoi also took the wickets of low order and made the victory for Punjab more tight. Rahul and Chris Gayle shared 80 runs but Punjab’s middle order collapsed to no.7 Brar was the only other batsman to reach the double digits.
